  • AUDITION

    Our programs currently serve anyone ages 7-21. Choose the program right for you and keep an eye out for audition information and begin your journey as an actor on stage. We can’t wait to meet you!

  • BUILD

    We are always looking for help building and designing our sets. Handy in the shop? Consider joining our build crew! As a part of our build crew, you will gain experience with power tools, set construction, and how to work in the shop.

  • DESIGN

    Calling all creative individuals who love to design! Every production is in need of a lighting, sound, costume and set designer. Experienced adults, consider joining our team as a lead designer! Kids, consider joining the design teams and dipping your toes into a world of creation!

  • VOLUNTEER

    We are always looking for volunteers to help wrangle kids, engage the community, raise money, and work front of house! There are no skills necessary to volunteer with FSTC. Consider reaching out today!

  • DONATE/SPONSOR

    Whether it is old clothes you wish to get rid of or an empty open space for us to rehearse in or a monetary donation of any kind, we are always thankful to those who wish to give in some way. Consider making a donation or becoming a season sponsor!

  • BOARD OF DIRECTORS

    Every August, we hold applications to join our Board of Directors. Applicants are encouraged to have prior theatre/business experience and have a true passion for the arts. Our 2023-24 Board of Directors application is currently closed.

2024 Summer Involvement Opportunities

We are currently looking for crew members, production team members, Box Office managers, and volunteers for our 2024 Summer Season! Kids* and adults are encouraged to sign up and immerse themselves in the theatre experience this summer! Below are the roles we are looking to fill!

Backstage Crew - Open to ages 12+

Experience life behind the scenes! As a backstage crew member, you will ensure the safety of the actors by seamlessly running scene transitions, working the fly system, calling the show, or running lights/sound! Crew members are extremely valuable to the success of any production.

Dance Captain - Open to ages 14+ IN CAST ONLY

Do you have a knack for picking up dances and remembering them easily? This role may be for you! Dance Captain is open to cast members only. You will work with the choreographer to ensure dances are accurately rehearsed and act as a substitute when the Choreographer isn’t there.

Costume Designer - Open to ages 16+

As a costume designer, you will design and acquire the costumes for the show! You will work with the director and production coordinator to ensure you design meshes well with the overall vision and meets the budget. You should have prior experience costuming a show.

Box Office Manager - Open to ages 18+

As a Box Office Manager, you will be the main point of contact for all things tickets. The week of opening night, you will be responsible for answering calls on behalf of FSTC and helping patrons with purchasing tickets and any questions they may have involving their purchase/seating. You will also be responsible for working the ticket counter for all performances.

Ushers/Front of House - Open to ages 16+

Ushers and FOH Volunteers are in charge of welcoming guests and helping them find their seats. You will hand out programs and answer any questions that guests may have.

Load In/Out Crew - Open to ages 14+

Load In/Out Crew is a low-commitment way of volunteering with FSTC! You will be called for two consecutive Saturdays to help load in the show and strike the show. This position is great for those who like building things, working with tools, and have creative minds.

Build Crew - Open to ages 14+

Build Crew will work to construct the set whether it’s using tools, painting, sanding, or drilling pieces together! Build Crew are also required to attend Load In.

Lighting Designer - Open to ages 18+

Lighting Designers are vital to the overall display of the show. Lighting designers begin their work before auditions in most instances, researching the production, reading the script, and meeting with the director to ensure all blocking and moments are accurately lit. Lighting Designers should have ample experience in lighting design for shows.

ACT OUT Leaders - College Students for Musical Theatre; High School Students for Theatre Fundamentals

Are you passionate for theatre? Are you looking to gain experience leading and teaching the next generation of passionate theatre kids? This position is perfect for you! We are looking for college and high school students to help lead our two sections of ACT OUT: Building a Solid Foundation in the Performing Arts. As an ACT OUT Leader, you will help our directors lead their workshops through small group, improv exercises, attendance taking, and bonding with the students.

Wranglers - Open to 16-17 Year Olds

Wranglers will be the life jacket for our younger kids backstage for our Junior Stars production. You are responsible for helping them with stray buttons, fastening a safety pin, costume malfunctions, mic malfunctions, or just answering their general questions while our production team is busy preparing the stage!

Parents of the Stage - Open to any past or present legal guardians of Future Stars kids!

Parents of the Stage is a NEW! support committee founded by Eden Marshall to get parents more involved in our productions. When you join Parents of the Stage, you will act as an advocate for FSTC to our community by spreading the word, gathering sponsorships, and supporting the cast, crew, and team as we work to build a successful show. Parents of the Stage will act as our “booster” club. Any past or present parent/family member is eligible to join POTS.
