Everyone deserves the gift of theatre.

Future Stars Theatre Company (FSTC) was founded in 2020 by then St. Mary Catholic High School students Brody Adams, Kelsi Gennrich, and Eden Marshall in an effort to continue theatre through the Covid-19 pandemic. Little did they know that FSTC would emerge from the pandemic as the perfect addition to the Fox Valley youth theatre scene. After refining their mission, FSTC held the first annual Future Stars Cabaret in July of 2021 to raise money for their inaugural production, Annie JR. The event featured local performers from various high schools and was held at the Smith Park Pavilion in Menasha, WI. The community helped FSTC raise over $1,000 that night. Fast forward to the following summer, auditions were held for Annie JR. at Valley Academy for the Arts. They cast 18 kids from Neenah, Menasha, and Appleton school districts including home school programs.

In the summer of 2023, FSTC expanded their programs by introducing Summer of Theatre, a workshop style theatre camp available to kids ages 12+. The program focused on dance and theatre fundamentals, acting as a perfect introductory experience for anyone who wished to dip their toes in the world of the performing arts. Shortly after, FSTC staged the Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast JR. shattering their previous year numbers with over 50 local youth involved in cast and crew. Additionally, the production was led by a full Creative Team consisting of a Music Director, Choreographer, Assistant Director, and Stage Manager as well as a lighting and sound designer.

Now entering their third production season, Future Stars Theatre Company has announced their biggest season yet featuring A Charlie Brown Christmas, Alice By Heart, The Wizard of Oz, and Legally Blonde. Summer of Theatre will also be making a return with an added younger kids group. FSTC will also be piloting a new program called Seminar where kids can register for one-on-one sessions to workshop songs, monologues, and other audition material.

FSTC’s primary goal is to bring awareness and respect to a career in the performing arts industry by adequately preparing aspiring community members for success. We hope to work towards expanding beyond just the youth in our community but the whole community. We want to meet anyone and everyone where they are at and help them take the next step in chasing their dreams. Our perfect future includes one where the Fox Valley becomes a hotspot for talent agencies, regional theatre programs, thriving arts programs in schools and colleges, and direct links to New York City and Los Angeles. We want to build upon the already prominent performing arts scene aided by the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, Kidstage, Jubricosa, and various other arts organizations. Ideally, if a kid comes to their parents and says, “I want to be on Broadway someday”, their parent will be able to turn to the community and programs in Northeast Wisconsin for their education and enrichment and not have to pack up and move to expensive cities like New York and Los Angeles.

A community that supports the arts will be supported by the arts. Everyone deserves the gift of theatre.

At Future Stars, we believe in growth and opportunity for all.
